“ Rich 3 layer high carrot cake for lunch. It looked extravagant and delicious and appearances matched the flavour and experience of getting it devoured. Sponge moist and dense with nuts and fruit distributed throughout its carroty continuity. Lots of buttery icing and topped with dried cranberries and toasted pumpkin seeds. A nutritionally complete foodstuff really. Did I mention it was huge. It was so big that we ate half, and could barely finish that. And we aren't wilting wallflowers when it come to cake. Ooh, we love da cake. The remaining half provided a pre-exercise energy boost the following day. We noticed the coffee shop on a visit to the Humansdorp Co-op across the road. Nice sign, pretty building and front garden. After being in downtown Humansdorp this was an unexpected contrast. After an hour or more of shopping for electric fence accessories and sundry pest extermination products we had earned a visit to Tuis't. The coffee was good too. They do homemade pies and quiches, sandwiches. The kitchen where all the construction takes place is open and in direct view so you can see your stuff being cooked in between work on the next scrumptious cake. ”

“ Best kept secret in Humansdorp! Situated across the road from the Co-op. Much better food, atmosphere and value for money than better known places on the Jeffries bay road. This is where the true locals go.. indoor and outdoor seating and a playground to tire the kids out for the long road. Had a really good lunch there, 2 meals, 2 drinks for under R300. And best of all its dog friendly! Just go there already, you wont be dissapointed. ”

“ We thoroughly enjoyed Tuis't - so much so that we went back with our staff a week after we discovered this little gem of a place in Humansdorp. It looks much smaller than it is from the outside, however stepping in, it feels like you step into the cozy, welcoming house of your 'Ouma'. Even though this is not necessarily the place for the coffee-snobs; their food is amazing and well-portioned with delectable, fresh, homemade breads. They have a great and extensive menu with something for everyone. Their baked goods, frozen meals and homemade jams are well priced and tasty. There is an outside space for the little ones, a deck and a beautiful, classically decorated inside space along with lovely second-hand books to choose from for those who would just like a quiet space to read. Service was exceptional and personal - 10/10 for sure! I would definitely recommend this place. ”
